Grandpa celebrated his birthday last week and his gift was lunch and a movie with his daughters and favorite toddler grandson. This afternoon, we ate a fantastic meal at the Trali Irish pub in Brier Creek and watched Toy Story 3 at the theater.
It was Gavin's first time in a movie theater and I wasn't sure if he'd be totally thrilled to see Woody and Buzz on a big screen or completely terrified by the volume and dark room surrounded by strangers! Considering that Gavin saw the movie for free (child tickets are for ages 3 and up), the movie theater seems to think 2-year-olds can't sit through a movie!
Fortunately, it was a great experience. Gavin loved the movie! He completely zoned out for nearly two hours, staring at the screen.

Gavin is already counting down the days until next June when he can go to the theater again to see Cars 2!

Kristin D. said... I've been contemplating taking Logan to see Toy Story 3...but, I've been too nervous to try. I think Gavin just gave me the confidence to give it a whirl!! What a big boy Gavin is becoming -- potty training and movies! I made Logan look at the potty training blog entry for inspiration!
