It's not every day that Gavin gets a visitor, so perhaps he feels compelled by the opportunities he does get to make the visitor feel welcome. How do you make someone feel welcome? By laughing at their jokes, of course! Personally, I think he over-does it. As you can see, he's in an otherwise normal mood, except he substitutes these banshee laughs for what would normally be average baby giggles. He has let out an occasional happy noise like this before, but never so many in one sitting. There are a lot in this video, and none of them are shown more than once.
